Improving Learning for Children with Disabilities

Please be advised that the ILCD websites for file review and self-assessment will not be available beginning Monday morning, March 20, 2006, in order to convert data from the existing ILCD websites and deploy the revised ILCD website. The revised ILCD website, which will be accessible via the portal on NDE's website (www.nde.state.ne.us), will be available to school distrsicts for file review and self-assessment beginning March 24, 2006, unless there are significant unforeseen glitches that postpone the launch date. However, we are hopeful that we will be able to address any glitches before March 24th. Therefore, school districts will not have access to either the existing websites or the revised website from Monday, March 20th through Thursday, March 23rd.

You will receive a detailed email message early next week providing information with respect to accessing the revised ILCD website via the portal, the new features in the revised ILCD website, and a list of steps for the file review. There will no longer be 2 separate websites for ILCD (file review & self-assessment websites). Instead, the file review component of ILCD will be displayed on the left menu of the revised ILCD website. NDE will continue to work on revisions to the ILCD inquiry and component pages. We will describe this in more detail next week.

File reviews via the website will not be possible until Friday next week. If you have a file review planned on March 20th, 21st, 22nd or 23rd, please consider postponing that file review until the revised website is available, beginning on Friday March 24th. If the file review cannot be postponed, please record your file review results on paper until you can input the data in the revised website.
